Soccer Game Preview: Calaveras vs. Summerville

The Calaveras Red Hawks will challenge the Summerville Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Calaveras didn't have quite enough to beat Riverbank and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Red Hawks have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Summerville entered their tilt with Big Valley Christian on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 7-1 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by three goals or more this season.

Summerville is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 60 goals over those 13 games. As for Calaveras, they now have a losing record at 7-8-2.
