Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Piles Up the Points Against Cherokee Christian

Pinecrest Academy won the last time they faced Cherokee Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Pinecrest Academy Paladins blew past the Cherokee Christian Warriors 47-13. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Paladins this season.

Cherokee Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Karma Thomas, who posted six points, and Haydan Bossart, who put up six points.

Pinecrest Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for Cherokee Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

When Pinecrest Academy and Cherokee Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose.
