The Lodi Blue Devils will be taking part in a tournament against the Belleville Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Lodi had taken Lake Mills down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Blue Devils took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the L-Cats. The Blue Devils have struggled against the L-Cats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Lodi started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-23.

Lodi might have lost, but man, Fayth Hesselberg was a machine: she had 38 digs and five assists. Hesselberg is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 22 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Belleville didn't have quite enough to beat Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vanguards 25-18 in the first set.
Belleville took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-23, 15-11.
Lodi will have to keep a close watch on Korynn Potter and Khylee Lietz, a pair of players who had a big impact on Belleville's prior game. Potter had 25 digs and four assists, while Lietz had 17 digs and one assist.
Belleville's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Lodi, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Lodi has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Belleville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Lodi beat Belleville 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
