Baseball Recap: Wabash Comes Up Short

Wabash lost against Carroll back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Apaches fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-5. While the Apaches didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 5-1 in the first period.

Jacob White made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Keaton Lane, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Wabash's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Carroll, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Wabash will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Blackford at 10:00 a.m. As for Carroll, they will head out on the road to challenge Maconaquah at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
