Basketball Recap: Johnson City Victorious

Johnson City hadn't done well against Harper recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Johnson City Eagles made off with a 49-48 victory over the Harper Longhorns. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

The win made it two in a row for Johnson City and bumps their season record up to 20-4. As for Harper, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-4.

Johnson City will welcome Mason at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harper, they are taking a road trip to square off against Center Point at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
