Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is R-S Central's Third in Last Four Outings

R-S Central hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost five straight) but thanks in part to Lai Flack that streak is no more. The R-S Central Hilltoppers put the hurt on the Chase Trojans with a sharp 49-24 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Flack, who posted 19 points. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of R-S Central's points.

Chase lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Paytin Hutchins, who earned eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natasha Littlejohn, who had six points.

R-S Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season. As for Chase, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

R-S Central will head out on the road to face off against Hendersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hendersonville will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something R-S Central surely won't give up without a fight. Chase has already played their next game, a 39-19 loss against Chesnee on the 23rd.
