Basketball Recap: Red Oak Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Red Oak lost to DeSoto back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Red Oak Hawks walked away with a 70-62 win over the DeSoto Eagles.

Red Oak has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for DeSoto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.

Red Oak and DeSoto should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Red Oak (ranked 116th) will meet Rowlett (ranked 566th) at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, DeSoto will take on R.W. Goines Stem Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 413 places (55 vs. 468).
