Baseball Recap: South Florence Falls Short of Airport in the Playoffs

South Florence and Airport squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Florence had to settle for second. They fell 4-1 to the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

South Florence saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khalon McGee, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

South Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Airport, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-6.

While South Florence had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
