Basketball Recap: Falls City Comes Up Short

Falls City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between them and the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans didn't end well, with the Falls City Tigers falling 52-33. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Titans 18-12 in the first quarter.

Elie Bstandig was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 19 boards for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer. Bstandig also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer is 9-4 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-5 otherwise. Laramie Glathar was another key player, going 5-for-8 on her way to 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Falls City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9.

Falls City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-34 loss against Johnson-Brock on the 14th.
