Baseball Recap: Leon Lions vs. Mosley Dolphins
Leon and Mosley squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Leon had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Mosley Dolphins by a score of 2-1. Leon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mosley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Chase Davis put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a home run.
On Mosley's side, they got a great performance from Carter Payne as he struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Mosley, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.
