Baseball Recap: Vandalia Comes Up Short

Vandalia's last matchup with Harrisburg could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Vandals lost 18-2 to the Bulldogs. If the Vandals were looking for revenge after losing 10-8 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Vandalia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Andrew Casey, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Vandalia's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Harrisburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

While Vandalia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
