Football Recap: Josiah Lucas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead South Grand Prairie over Lake Highlands + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Grand Prairie can now relate to. They fell 43-36 to the Lake Highlands Wildcats on Friday. The Warriors have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Lucas, who rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Wallace, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

South Grand Prairie suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 8-2. As for Lake Highlands, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

South Grand Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Highlands, they will venture away from home to face off against Allen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed nine points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
