Basketball Recap: Aberdeen Takes a Loss

Aberdeen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 57-34 to the Wendell Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since January 9th.

Wendell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Swainston led the charge by going 8-for-14 to rack up 23 points. The dominant performance also gave Swainston a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (63%). Jordon Swainston was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Aberdeen's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Wendell, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Aberdeen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wendell, they will face off against West Side at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Side will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Wendell surely won't give up without a fight.
