Baseball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Radnor hit Springfield with a four-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raptors. The Cougars have struggled against the Raptors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Jack Rae was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Springfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Lennon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Radnor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
