Softball Recap: Bulkeley Takes a Loss

Bulkeley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Phoenix, falling 24-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bulkeley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arlianis Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy's side, Julianna Williams and Eimy Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Williams got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI, while Rodriguez got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Rodriguez has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Karnas, who got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.

Bulkeley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-10 loss against Academy of Science and Innovation on the 18th.
