Volleyball Recap: Mission San Jose Takes Down Archie Williams in a Playoff Battle

Mission San Jose had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (91-90) Mission San Jose actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20, 14-25, 25-22.

Evelyn Ho was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 20 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Mission San Jose's victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Archie Williams, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Mission San Jose will face off against Saint Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Archie Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
