Softball Recap: Covenant Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After losing to North Central the last time they met, Covenant Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly five runs.

Marissa Silva made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anna Cope, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
