Softball Recap: Waupaca Comets vs. Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds
Waupaca took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Iola-Scandinavia, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Comets skirted past the Thunderbirds 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Comets have posted since April 16th.

On the hitting side, Waupaca got a big performance out of AJ Koran, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave Koran a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addi Purkis, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
