Volleyball Recap: Carlsbad Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Carlsbad entered their tilt with Sage Creek on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Lancers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Carlsbad walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Derek Bashford and Roman Payne, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ben Sauerwine and his 28 assists. Payne was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.
