Baseball Game Preview: Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies vs. Westminster Lions

For the second straight game, Godinez Fundamental will face off against Westminster. The Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Godinez Fundamental fell victim to Westminster and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Westminster's part, the team relied heavily on Jordan Solis, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Solis' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Derek Hernandez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Westminster's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5-1. As for Godinez Fundamental, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9.
