While Kermit's victory against McCamey wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Kermit Yellow Jackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the McCamey Badgers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellow Jackets have posted since March 22, 2024.

Kermit let Zakry Salais and Sergio Quiroz run wild. Salais went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Quiroz scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Quiroz a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Anthony Gallardo, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Kermit's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6. As for McCamey, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Kermit has already played their next contest (against Lovington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for McCamey, they are taking a road trip to face off against Alpine at 2:00 p.m. on March 15th.
