Baseball Recap: Lyndon Comes Up Short

Lyndon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-0 to the Council Grove Braves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Friday.

Lyndon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Council Grove, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Coming up, Lyndon will take on Central Heights on Monday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Council Grove, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-0 win against Osage City on the 2nd.
