After flying high against Treasure Coast last Tuesday, Sebastian River came back down to earth. Sebastian River took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockledge Raiders on Thursday. The Sharks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sebastian River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Bowie-Whitsett, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Rily Biggers, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Sebastian River's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Rockledge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will welcome Key West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sebastian River's pitchers better be ready for this one: Key West has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Rockledge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
