Baseball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

Midland and Coronado squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Midland had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 8-6. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Coronado, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.

While Midland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
