Basketball Game Preview: Milton-Union Bulldogs vs. Houston Wildcats

The Milton-Union Bulldogs will challenge the Houston Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Milton-Union is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, everything went Milton-Union's way against Bradford as Milton-Union made off with a 51-30 victory. With the Bulldogs ahead 29-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Milton-Union can attribute much of their success to Jenna Brumbaugh, who went 10 for 18 on her way to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals, and Kate Copp, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Copp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Layman, who posted four points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Houston ended up a good deal behind Russia on Saturday and lost 44-28.

Milton-Union's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Houston, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Milton-Union didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Houston in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 59-53 victory. Does Milton-Union have another victory up their sleeve, or will Houston turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
