Baseball Recap: Wisconsin Lutheran's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wisconsin Lutheran dropped their record down to 15-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 6-3 to the Arrowhead Warhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Arrowhead, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

For Arrowhead's part, Tanner Buhlmann tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Buhlmann has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, PJ Hamel was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wisconsin Lutheran will take on Menomonee Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Arrowhead, they will venture away from home to challenge Waukesha South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warhawks are facing the Blackshirts at the right time seeing as the Blackshirts are stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
