Black Hills and Centralia are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Wolves will take on the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Centralia took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Black Hills, who comes in off a win.

Black Hills took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Shelton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Highclimbers on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Adley Goelbel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Black Hills' win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Blain Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Centralia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to Aberdeen.

Centralia's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Black Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.

Everything went Black Hills' way against Centralia in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Black Hills made off with an 11-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
