Football Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

If Holy Cross was riding high fresh off their 32-6 takedown of Montrose last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders were beaten by the Lakeland Chiefs 53-6 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost four in a row.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lakeland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Hanover Area at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lakeland, they will face off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
