Soccer Recap: Eaglecrest Takes a Loss

Eaglecrest came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Grandview Wolves, falling 5-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Eaglecrest of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Eaglecrest has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season. Grandview's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1.

Looking ahead, Eaglecrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Smoky Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eaglecrest will be up against Smoky Hill's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Grandview, they will head out on the road to take on Air Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
