Volleyball Game Preview: Shaw Raiders vs. Columbus Blue Devils

Shaw is 0-10 against Columbus since October of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Raiders will square off against the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Monday, Shaw got the win against Kendrick by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Columbus made easy work of Hardaway on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Columbus took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-5, 25-11.

Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 28-18. As for Shaw, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Shaw came up short against Columbus when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 2-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Blue Devils' Emma Cicora, who had six aces and two blocks. Now that the Raiders know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
