Soccer Game Preview: Arlington vs. Canyon Springs

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Arlington face off against the Canyon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday... Arlington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.

Canyon Springs will be up against a hot Arlington squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Arlington never let Hillcrest onto the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. The Lions' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

They hit Hillcrest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Michaela Fitzpatrick (2), Mia Dileo (2), and Scarlett Equihua.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Canyon Springs sidestepped Liberty for a 2-1 victory.

Canyon Springs' win bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Arlington, they are also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

Arlington came out on top in a nail-biter against Canyon Springs when the teams last played on January 9th, sneaking past 4-3. Will Arlington repeat their success, or does Canyon Springs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
