Basketball Recap: Marshall Christian Academy Stallions vs. Master's Hand Christian Warriors
Marshall Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 72-48 to the Master's Hand Christian Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stallions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-45 back in November.
Leading Master's Hand Christian to victory were Braedon Canuteson and Branson Solomon. Canuteson went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points in addition to five boards and five steals, while Solomon went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daniel Nason, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and three steals.
Marshall Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Master's Hand Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall Christian Academy will host Hope Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Master's Hand Christian, they will welcome Mt. Pleasant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Master's Hand Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Mt. Pleasant Christian likes a good challenge.
