Soccer Game Preview: Oyster River vs. Souhegan

The Oyster River Bobcats will take on the Souhegan Sabers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Oyster River's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Souhegan's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Oyster River is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Lebanon on Thursday. The Bobcats and the Raiders finished up their match with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Souhegan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Pembroke, falling 5-2. That's two games in a row now that Souhegan have lost by exactly three goals.

Souhegan's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-2. With that draw, Oyster River's record moves to 11-0-1.

Oyster River beat Souhegan 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Sabers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
