Football Recap: Woodstock North Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Woodstock North can now relate to. They took a blow against the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses on Friday, falling 45-0. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, the Thunder's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

It was another big night for Landon Knigge, who rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry for Dixon. Knigge's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 139 rushing yards.

Woodstock North's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Dixon, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Woodstock North nor the Dukes & Duchesses have any future games scheduled.
