Volleyball Recap: Mallard Creek Takes a Loss

Mallard Creek managed to slip by Myers Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mavericks came up short against the Mustangs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Mavericks' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-19.

Kelsey Knox paced Mallard Creek's offense, picking up six kills. Knox got some help from Nadia Bryant and her six assists. Knox was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Mallard Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Mallard Creek is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Palisades at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Myers Park, they will take on Chapman in a tournament on Friday.
