Basketball Recap: Chestatee War Eagles vs. Lake Oconee Academy Titans
Chestatee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 57-34 to the Lake Oconee Academy Titans.
Lake Oconee Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Torin Maddox led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Canon Mullen, who had 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Chestatee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lake Oconee Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Chestatee will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pickens at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Pickens will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Chestatee surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against John Milledge Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
