Recap: Middletown Blue Dragons vs. Berlin Redcoats
The Middletown Blue Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The match between Middletown and Berlin wasn't particularly close, with Middletown falling 26-7. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Middletown in their matchups with Berlin: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Middletown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zy'Kie Askew. Despite the final result, he rushed for 124 yards.
Berlin had a senior duo take command as Jon jon Morales rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries and Toby Lavender rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Middletown has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 4-6 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.5 points per game. As for Berlin, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
