Baseball Recap: Mattituck Takes a Loss

Mattituck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the Center Moriches Red Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Tuckers have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Mattituck saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Voegel, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Voegel scored this season.

Mattituck's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Center Moriches, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

While Mattituck had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
