Volleyball Recap: Falls City Takes a Loss

Falls City saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the San Antonio Christian Lions by a score of 2-1.

Leading San Antonio Christian to victory were Mary Ellen Sturm and Isabella Carvajal. Sturm had four aces and four assists, while Carvajal had ten assists and three aces. That's the most assists Carvajal has posted over her last ten games. Sydney Smith also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Falls City has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for San Antonio Christian, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Falls City has already played their next contest (against South San Antonio), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for San Antonio Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on the 23rd.
