Baseball Recap: Enumclaw Comes Up Short

Enumclaw lost to North Thurston back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Enumclaw got a good showing from Taylor Moorman, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Moorman has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Enumclaw saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kannius Alva, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Enumclaw now has a losing record of 7-8. As for North Thurston, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1.

Looking ahead, Enumclaw will welcome Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Thurston, they are taking a road trip to take on Lakes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.62 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
