Basketball Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. Middle Park Panthers

The Alameda Pirates just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Middle Park Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Alameda is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since February 12, 2024 on Monday. They had to suffer through a 52-25 loss at the hands of Bennett. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Pirates' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Middle Park entered their tilt with Arvada two weeks ago with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Bulldogs 56-27. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 29 points or more this season.

Middle Park had a senior duo take command as Aubree Hanson dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten steals and Blaire Hester on her way to 18 points and eight steals. Hester has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Dana Bell, who to rack up 10 points and three steals.

Middle Park now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Alameda, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
