Football Game Preview: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Newnan Cougars + How To Watch

The Sequoyah Chiefs will challenge the Newnan Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

Sequoyah is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They beat Coffee by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 31-14.

Meanwhile, Newnan got the win against New Manchester on Friday by a conclusive 48-22. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Sequoyah better keep an eye on Kameron Davis. He was instrumental in Newnan's win, rushing for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, while also catching one score. That's the most rushing yards Davis has posted since back in August. Brodie Campbell was another key player, throwing for 170 yards and a pair of TDs.

Newnan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tj Gates and Benjamin Roche. Rodney Colton Jr. was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making seven total tackles.

Newnan's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Sequoyah, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
