Volleyball Recap: Lutheran South Academy Comes Up Short

If Lutheran South Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. Agnes Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers fell 2-0 to the Foster Falcons on Saturday. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16.

Aniston Collins paced Lutheran South Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Collins really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight.

Lutheran South Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Foster, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Lutheran South Academy has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against A&M Consolidated on the 30th. As for Foster, they will square off against Deer Park at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
