Softball Game Preview: Rogers Eagles vs. Thrall Tigers

The Rogers Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Thrall Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rogers has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rogers is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Franklin, falling 13-3.

Camryn Lesikar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Thrall got the win against Milano on Friday by a conclusive 7-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Miley Pokorny spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, Kenzie Engelke was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Luton, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Thrall lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive games.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Thrall, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Rogers was able to grind out a solid win over Thrall in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 5-0. Will Rogers repeat their success, or does Thrall has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
