Recap: Apprentice Academy Red Wolves vs. Comenius Knights
The Apprentice Academy Red Wolves had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 91-34 loss at the hands of Comenius. Apprentice Academy has struggled against Comenius recently, as their game on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Red Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayden Eddington, who scored 12 points. Radear Watson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Comenius found their leader in underclassman Donovin Jones, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Parker Long, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Apprentice Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Comenius, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Apprentice Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th. As for Comenius, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
