Baseball Recap: East Union Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If East Union was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Central Catholic on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. East Union fell 10-6 to Central Catholic on Friday. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Peyton Heath was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Fay, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

East Union's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-6. As for Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

East Union will challenge Patterson at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Catholic, they will take on Pioneer at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
