Football Game Preview: Ransom Everglades Raiders vs. Booker T. Washington Tornadoes

The Ransom Everglades Raiders will head out to challenge the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ransom Everglades will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

Ransom Everglades' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They breezed past NSU University to the tune of 43-0. The matchup marked the Raiders' most dominant victory of the season.

Ransom Everglades' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Guevara led the charge by throwing for 206 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Guevara a new career-high. Colton Smith was in the mix as well, providing Ransom Everglades with two TDs.

Ransom Everglades didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Benjamin Rodriguez and Enrique Macias. Macias also forced onefumble, which is notable because Ransom Everglades is 2-1 when he posts at least one forced fumble, but 2-3 otherwise. The Raiders received some extra help from Jack Mccarron, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington suffered their closest loss since October 4, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of North Miami by a score of 34-31.

The win got Ransom Everglades back to even at 4-4. As for Booker T. Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Ransom Everglades was dealt a bruising 42-13 loss at the hands of Booker T. Washington in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
