With a playoff win on the line, Oconee County rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Harlem Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. Oconee County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by three goals or more this season.

The victory (which was Oconee County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for Harlem, with the defeat, they broke their 17-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-2.
