Basketball Preview: Sterling Tigers vs. Binger-Oney Bobcats
The Sterling Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Binger-Oney Bobcats at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sterling is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sterling beat the Rangers 58-53.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-34, which was the final score in Binger-Oney's tilt against the Chieftains on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Binger-Oney has scored all season.
Sterling's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Binger-Oney, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4.
Things could have been worse for Sterling, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-32 loss to the Bobcats in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Sterling avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
