Basketball Recap: Madison Central Comes Up Short

Madison Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 53-35 fall against the Germantown Mavericks. The matchup marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Madison Central lost, don't look at Maddox Singletary. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field on his way to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Pavalock, who posted three points.

Madison Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Germantown, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
